The sun tickles my forehead in the morning, and I think of you.
Every time I wake, I want it to be you beside me.
I never want you to hurt again.

I know this isn’t the way its supposed to be.
Man loving man; who would have thought?

I do believe God tells us in the Bible to go forth and love.
If this isn’t love, then I’d like to know what is.

Does God make mistakes?
I should hope not.

I don’t think he made a mistake with you.  
I don’t think he made a mistake with me.

Mistake.  That is the definition of the last year and a half of my life.
I never loved her in the same way I love you.

A smile on your lips brightens my day.
And your touch, even if only for a moment, puts me at rest.

I want you to be happy, like the old days,
Every day laughing, loving, and enjoying life.

When I see that lonely look in your pristine eyes,
I want to hold you forever.

Even if we’ll never be more than friends, you need to know,
No matter what you have done or what you may do;

I will always need you.

I will always wait for you.

I will always love you.
